We have had a lovely day celebrating Nick's birthday - a little bit lazy in the morning but then off to the pool for an hour or so of fun in the rather "coolish" pool before heading of to Jazz lessons. Normally whilst Sophie is dancing her little heart out Nick and I go for a 1/2 hour power walk, but today we decided to give the walk a miss and head for the pub:) It was such a novelty sitting out the back in the beer garden chatting away (without interruption) enjoying a refreshing drink without having to play the "grumpy old troll" game! We felt like such "Adults".
We collected Sophie after our "timeout" and it was "birthday" back on! It was ever sooooo exciting getting ready for a "party for 3". Sophie was quick into the bath and asked if she could dress herself in something "beautiful and pretty" for daddy's party. Well what could I say? (thank the lord there was only the 3 off us at the party).
20 minutes later out came Sophie wearing her most favourite "hand me down" nightie from Charlotte that Nana had made, only her bottom (means no nickers) and delightful black patent shoes! Does this child have "retro" style or wot??? She had even styled her own hair - funky hey!
